Mboma prepares his jubilee
Henri Patrick Mboma Dem definitely drops football .
The former Indomitable Lion explained to the media, Tuesday, 27th March 2012 at the Yaounde Hilton Hotel (after his stop at Douala Monday at the Sawa Hotel) how prepared he was, to embark on his jubilee celebration Come May 2012.
The spectacular event will take place in Yaounde from the 24th to the 26th of May 2012..
« Its the most memorable moment of my life, not just my sports career. I will try as much as possible to take Cameroonians, and most especially football lovers, memory lane to the era when we enjoyed the quality of football in our country… », Magic Patrick Mboma,said.
Celebrities will take part in this ‘must be there’ event , « Georges Weah, Abedi Pelé, Lilian Thuram, Bernard Lama … », The former player of Paris Saint Germain, cited.
Former Goal Scorer of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon equally called on some of his former teammates like, Samuel Eto’o, Rigobert Song and Idriss Carlos Kameni. to join him in this celebration.
A jubilee village will be mounted to host this musico-football melange at the Yaounde City Hall premises. Besides the main articulation of this giant sports event will be the installation of an attraction site for relaxation, and an exchange platform between the former lion and his fans.
The football matches organised to mark this event will be crowned by exceptional music shows followed by a guided tour to special monuments and touristic avenues. A Gala match will round off activities at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Yaoundé Omnisport Stadium.
Patrick Mboma decided to end his professional career in 2005. This pathway has been a long and enjoyable one for the football emblem. He kicked off his career in 1990 from Paris Saint-Germain to Vissel Kobe (Japan), passing through Châteauroux, Metz FC, Gamba Osaka, Parme, Cagliari, Sunderland, Al-Ittihad and Tokyo Verdy. He has received African best Player award (2000), hs been vice-champion of France in 1997 under coulours du Paris Saint-Germain.
