CAMEROON AND THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF GERMANY HAVE DISCUSSED WAYS OF IMPROVING ECONOMIC AND TECHNICAL COOPERATION. THIS WAS THE FOCUS OF DISCUSSIONS BETWEEN PRESIDENT PAUL BIYA AND ERNST BURGBACHER.
Ernst Burgbacher, Secretary of State at the German Ministry of Economy and Technology was leading a delegation of German officials and businessmen on a fact finding mission to Cameroon. The delegation, during the visit, held a series of discussions with top government officials and representatives of the private sector. At the end of the audience with President Paul Biya, the German official faced the press.
He saluted German-Cameroon relations which is long standing. He indicated that Germany and Cameroon are determined to begin a new era of cooperation.
Ernst Burgbacher met with Cameroon’s Prime Minister, Philemon Yang, the Minister of External Relations, Pierre Moukoko Bonjo, the Minister of Mines, Industries and technological Development and the Minister of the Economy Planning and Regional Development, before he was granted audience at the Unity Palace .
