Tripartite, Dialogue and Social Cohesion, this year’s theme of the International Labour Day rings a bell in the minds of workers in Cameroon, as all parties (workers, employers and governement) commemorate the 2012 edition of the International Observance.
To many, the theme falls timely because it were time government intervened in the entreprise crises causing so many strikes in Cameroon today.
As the celebrants marched past the UDEAC square in Douala Tuesday, they called on state officials to have the theme implemented, and not just do the routine slogan celebration, as with previous commemorations.
Motivation some employers said is an inevitable dialogue tool to consolidate wonderful working environments for both parties and the government.
The workers made merry in their different dinner organisations after the traditional march past hoping that an imminent change will come.
