Pressing Job offers at the Common wealth ….

Standard

Hi all,

The Wall Street Journal is looking for freelances to work for their various publications. Below is part of their email. If you are interested please write direct to Peter Wonacott, their Africa Bureau Chief

peter.wonacott@wsj.com

As we move into 2013, I’m trying to expand our network of Africa stringers and – I hope – boost our coverage of the continent.
I would welcome suggestions of young journalists on the continent we should reach out to about filing for Dow Jones Newswires, WSJ.COM and The Wall Street Journal. We’re particularly keen to know of good people in Mali, Nigeria, DRC, Somalia, Mozambique, and Angola.
This isn’t an offer for full-time or even part-time employment, but rather the opportunity to file breaking news stories and occasional features; and perhaps to work with visiting staff reporters. This is the sort of opportunity that an enterprising reporter could use to showcase his or her journalism, and to get a foot in the door of a global news organization.
Potential candidates should email me their CVs and a brief selection of clips.

Best Regards,
Peter
