The 1 year exercise involving training sessions, combat scenarios, sea and parachute operations reached finish line thursday February 28, 2013 in an official ceremony at the Navy Base.
Co-chaired by Cameroon’s Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defense MEBE NGO’O Edgard Alain and the US Ambassador to Cameroon Robert P. JACKSON, this exercise is conducted for the second time in Cameroon to demonstrate US and participating nations’ committment to regional stability in maritime security.
‘Committed to regional stability in maritime security, the participants made huge progress in 28 boarding schedules in a 3 day intensive exercise at sea, without hurting or loosing anybody.’ The Exercise Director, Captain Rollo testified.
The Concept development Conference sends off well groomed trainees ready to counter piracy capabilities in the Gulf of Guinea, as they look forward to having a 2014 Multi National Navy Obangame Express, that will not only continue to enhance regional stability, but as well strengthen Maritime Friendships, Relationships and Partnerships.
